Louisa Krause was born in New York City. She was Anna Garner the leading role in The Girl Experience. Brenda Woodberg, her first movie role, was in Babysitters. Krause studied drama in college and then appeared in numerous off-Broadway productions. She also appeared in the New York-based networks television shows. The career of her father, who is the half Japanese and American in origin, is her career. Her older brother Nathaniel is a director. She found her interest in the arts early in her stage by attending the Washington School of Ballet in Washington D.C. Once she began high school, dancing was a distant memory until she started performing in Henry Kriegers and Bill Russell's various musicals and plays such as Side Show as Violet Hilton. After high school she joined at the Carnegie Mellon Drama School. Krause made the decision to begin her acting career shortly after. Through a musical adaptation of Aida she earned her Equity Card. Louisa Krause started her career acting in theatre. She appeared in Huntington Theatre Company's production of the play Iphigenia in 2006. 2007 was the year she performed Iphigenia at the Signature Theater Company's Iphigenia 2 performance.
